16 Feb Maria & Ned Reade honored at October 12, 2024 Gala
The Pawling Community Foundation’s yearly Gala will be held on Saturday, October 12 at Lakeside Park. We are pleased to announce our honorees will be Maria and Ned Reade. Through their years of service, Maria and Ned have truly enriched the lives of Pawling’s residents and visitors.
Ned is the president of the Pawling Concert Series, which presents live professional-level classical, jazz, folk, and world music. Ned also is the founder of the Live 4 Art Gallery in the village of Pawling that showcases the work of community artists. He served as chair of the arts department at Trinity-Pawling for 45 years.
Maria taught English and served as Dean of Faculty at Trinity-Pawling for 27 years. She serves as the senior writer for the school’s alumni publications. Maria remains an active board member of the Pawling Farmers Market that runs for 16 weeks during the summer on the Village Green. She also co-founded and is re-energizing The Spark Presents, a speakers’ series based in Pawling.
Maria and Ned split their time between Pawling and southern Vermont, where Maria is a working partner at Someday Farm in Dorset, head chef at Grateful Hearts in Manchester, and managing editor of Edible Vermont magazine. In Vermont, Ned serves on the boards of two not-for-profit cultural organizations.
